Trojan Helmets
Since its formation in 1968, Trojan Records has been renowned for presenting the very best in original Ska, Rock Steady, Reggae, Roots, Lovers Rock and Dub.
Classic tunes from Desmond Dekker, Lord Tanamo, The Skatalites, Bob & Marcia, Nicky Thomas, Roland Alphonso, Toots & The Maytals, I Roy, The Ethiopians, Dandy Livingstone, Ken Boothe, Sugar Minott, John Holt, Symarip, Rudy Mills, The Upsetters, Dave & Ansel Collins, U Roy, Greyhound, Lee Perry, Dennis Alcapone, Gregory Isaacs, Max Romeo, Dillinger, Augustus Pablo, Clancy Eccles, Jimmy Cliff, The Slickers, Eric Donaldson and Bob Marley, to name but a few.
Dance floor favorites like Get Up Edina, Johnny Too Bad, Young Gifted & Black, Red Red Wine, Pressure Drop, Skinhead Moonstomp, Monkey Man, Long Shot Kick De Bucket, Wet Dream, 54-46 Was My Number, Return To Django, Freedom Street, Israelites, Tighten Up, Fatty Fatty, 007 (Shanty Town), Jamaica Ska and It Mek - the soundtrack for generations of British mods, skinheads and suedeheads. Timeless tracks that influenced and inspired the 2Tone movement years later and that still sound fresh today.
All of the greatest 2Tone acts covered Trojan originals and more recently so have the likes of Jay-Z, Prodigy and Amy Winehouse. The Ethiopians Train to Skaville is the theme to TV's Miami Ink and Harry J All Stars Liquidator is still a football stadium favorite. There are many excellent touring ska bands today that all cover Trojan originals and the iconic Trojan Records logo is still very prominent, as a badge, sticker, patch or tattoo.
Heritage Helmets pay homage to this iconic label and present two exclusive limited edition, classic open faced scooter helmets. A Trojan Records model and another, which is dual branded with Lambretta.
